Giving back

We believe in the importance of giving back to the community. In line with this, we have chosen to sponsor the following charities:

World Vision Child Sponsorship Program.

What does World Vision Australia do?
We’re Australia’s largest international non-government organisation. Everything we do is focused on the sustained wellbeing of children, especially the most vulnerable. We have more than 50 years of experience in development, relief and advocacy work around the world. Our work happens through global partnerships, so we can make an impact at scale and reach those most in need. In all we do, we are committed to upholding the highest standards of best practice and accountability. We’re grateful to the many Australians who partner with us through their charity giving. Your support helps makes our work possible!

Who are we sponsoring?
We are sponsoring Nam Nat from Cambodia, a 2-year-old boy who loves playing toy cars and running around with his two brothers. World Vision is helping us help Nam as apart of the Rukh Kiri Project in Cambodia.

What is the Rukh Kiri Project?

This is a dry rural area 72km from the provincial capital. The climate is tropical and about 43,000 people live here. Most people are farmers, but erratic rainfall affects harvests and many are forced to seek work in Thailand. Lack of clean water and toilets and poor health and hygiene practices lead to the spread of diseases. Health services are poor and far from where people live. Education quality is low and many children miss out on school because families cannot afford it and/or they don't see it as important.

World Vision focus areas

  • Training in hygiene and good sanitation practices
  • Training in health and nutrition
  • Strengthening community leadership to create change
  • Improved access to education
  • Improvements to quality of primary school education

MS Walk & Fun Run Program

About the MS Walk & Fun Run
A carefully curated day out – the MS Walk + Fun Run is a combination of the classic fun run model, a big spoonful of community spirit, and a sprinkle of health and wellness, all mixed together to create an opportunity to make a real difference to people’s lives.

We’re all about moving forward to support Australians living with multiple sclerosis. So, whether you’re a keen runner or more of a walking wonder, join us as we step towards a better future for those who are affected by MS.

Located in Canberra, Launceston, Melbourne and Sydney the MS Walk + Fun Run isn’t just a must do event on the cardio calendar. It also helps to raise much-needed awareness, and works towards helping those who live with this devastating neurological condition.

Almost 9,000 people take part across the four cities and MS Walk + Fun Run participants have raised millions of dollars to fund essential services and support for people living with multiple sclerosis, while the search for a cure continues.

After all, no one should face MS alone
